It might be cold outside, but the team at Ride the Trafalgar Way, a brand new, soon to be launched cycling event, are offering a ‘winter warmer’ with a new ’12 Days of Christmas’ social campaign.
Promoted on both the Ride the Trafalgar Way Facebook and Twitter pages, there will be daily giveaways from Friday 12 December right through to Tuesday 23 December; just in time for the Christmas Holidays.
Ride the Trafalgar Way, launches in the New Year as a brand new, innovative cycling challenge. The inaugural event is all set to take place on 17-18 October 2015 and will offer teams and individuals the opportunity to collectively tackle a 500K ride; starting at Pendinnis Point in Falmouth and finishing at Admiralty House in London.
Ride the Trafalgar Way follows the historic route of 1805 in which Lieutenant Lapenotiere rode post-chaise (a horse-drawn carriage used for transporting passengers or mail, especially in the 18th and early 19th centuries) in 37 hours, carrying important dispatches to Admiralty House, London with the news of victory at the Battle of Trafalgar and the death of Admiral Lord Nelson.

- 14 December: RTTW 2015 Conqueror Race Entry
- 15 December: VIP Invitation to the RTTW Event launch
- 16 December: Special Edition Ride the Trafalgar Way cycle jersey
- 17 December: Cyclist magazine subscription
- 18 December: RTTW 2015 Victory Race Entry
- 19 December: Special Edition Ride the Trafalgar Way musette
- 20 December: Ride the Trafalgar Way Nutrition Bundle
- 21 December: RTTW 2015 Britannia Race Entry
- 22 December: Special Edition Ride the Trafalgar Way cycle jersey
- 23 December: Ride the Trafalgar Way Prize Bundle
And entering is simple too, all athletes need to do is ‘like and share’, or ‘retweet’ the relevant social posts.
The competition starts on Friday 12 December, and will ‘open’ at 09:00 GMT each day, with the winners picked at 19:00 that same evening, leaving plenty of time to enter throughout the day.

For individuals preferring shorter distance events, there will be three independent sportives all running over the weekend of 17-18 October 2015.

- RTTW Victory: Salisbury to London
Ride the Trafalgar Way will launch officially in January 2015.
