Aqua Sphere is underlining its commitment to encourage more people into the water by announcing a new extended partnership with the iconic Great Swim Series. Launched in 2008, Great Swim is Europe’s biggest open water swim series, staging events at lakes, lochs and urban docks across the UK.
Organized by Nova International, the five Great Swim events attract nearly 25,000 swimmers of all abilities to take part in a range of swim distances, from half a mile to 5K. Aqua Sphere is already recognised as the official swim kit partner to the series. This year the brand is reinforcing its pledge to encourage more people to try open water swimming by supplying Great Swim with wetsuits, goggles and caps until at least 2018, as an ‘exceptional long term treaty of support.’

Taking place from June – September 2015, the five Great Swim events are
- The Great North Swim, Windermere, 12-15 June;
- The Great East Swim, Alton Water, Suffolk, 20 June;
- The Great Manchester Swim, Salford Quays, 4 July;
- The Great Scottish Swim, Loch Lomond, 29 August; and
- The Great London Swim, Royal Victoria Docks, 18 July.
Swimmers take part for a variety of reasons including raising money for a worthy cause, setting themselves a personal challenge or just for a fun day out with friends and family. Wetsuits are compulsory and a wide selection of Aqua Sphere wetsuits for all abilities are available to hire or buy from Tri-store via www.greatswim.org in advance of the events.
