Zoot Sports, a global leader in footwear and apparel for the endurance athlete, has completed its previously announced acquisition of Squadra, a leading designer and manufacturer of custom racing, cycling and triathlon apparel based in Carlsbad, California.
This acquisition adds a strong, complementary endurance sports brand to the Zoot business. Since Jarden Corporation acquired Zoot in 2009, it has continued to invest in the growing endurance sports market. Over the years, Zoot notes that it has ‘garnered accolades for its innovation in performance footwear and apparel, providing reference-level solutions for the endurance athlete from head to toe.’

Squadra was founded in 1996, by Dan Weatherford, initially as the licensee for the Italian Castelli brand owned by cycling legend, Maurizio Castelli. Squadra set out to offer to all cyclists, the same quality apparel and accessories used by professional cycling teams in Europe. The business is known for its ‘use of the finest quality materials and production processes available.’
