Leading endurance sport media company, Tri247 has bolstered its management team with the hire of digital content specialist, Dan Grey, as Commercial Director. Grey, who previously worked with the Tri247 team to develop and launch its Entry247 digital solution for event organisers, is no stranger to multisport.
He started his career at the London Triathlon, looking after customer communication and the online presence for its portfolio of events. After this he spent two years at IMG Sports Technology Group as UK General Manager, before he joined PERFORM, a leading sports digital media company, where he oversaw the digital strategy of leading sports brands including the Premier League, NBA, Chelsea FC, Fox Sports, NRL and the A-League.
Dan said, “I left PERFORM to work on digital sports projects with the potential to grow; and given my past experience in multisport and relationship with the Tri247 team, this is the perfect fit.
“I believe that I can use my learnings from the past five years of working on behalf of many of the world’s leading sports brands to build on the excellent work and reputation of Tri247.”
Paul Shanley, Founding Director of Tri247 is thrilled with this latest hire. “We have followed Dan’s career with keen interest and are delighted he is joining the team. We are constantly looking to build upon the continued success of both Tri247 and Run247, and feel Dan’s experience will be instrumental in helping us to remain at the digital forefront of endurance sports.”
Paul added, “Mass participation sport continues to capture the hearts of millions worldwide and I believe we are ideally placed to grow in the UK and further afield by delivering the best and most comprehensive content 24/7.”
