The motto ‘Race the Legend’ was chosen for this year’s DATEV Challenge Roth in Germany, which took place on Sunday 12 July. To showcase the scale of the event, the organizing team at Challenge Family has released a 30 minute Challenge Roth 2015 video.
An estimated 250,000 spectators watched the event along the race course. Alongside a strong roster of pro triathletes, each year Challenge Roth also features a significant number of age-group athletes, who struggle against the elements and their own bodies.
Around 3,400 individual participants and 650 relay teams took part in ‘the world’s biggest long-distance race in the stronghold of triathlon’ in Roth on 12 July – taken care of by more than 5,700 volunteers. As Challenge Family pointed out, ‘they are all part of a legend.’
