The organizing team at Challenge Denmark has confirmed that it has already reached 1,000 confirmed slots for next year’s race, which takes place on 12 June 2016.
The organizers stated, ‘It’s with great joy, pride and a little humbleness we can announce, that we have now reached 1,000 sold slots for Challenge Denmark 2016. Just like in 2015, we can welcome 1,500 athletes at the race, so we’re getting very close to a sold out race!’
Having reached capacity in 2015, Challenge Denmark has become a popular fixture for triathletes across Northern Europe and beyond. The event takes place across the two cities of Billund and Herning with 1,500 athletes racing this year.
Challenge Denmark is part of the international Challenge Family triathlon series that has the world’s biggest long distance race, Challenge Roth, as its impressive flagship. Commenting on this year’s race, CEO at Challenge Family, Zibi Szlufcik, stated that he was proud to see how the Danish team had handled the job so far.
“We’re back in Scandinavia and we’re back with an event that will take triathlon to a new level in Denmark,” Szlufcik said. “Challenge Denmark is a true celebration of triathlon and represents Challenge Family’s commitment to inclusiveness with both full and half distance races, Challenge Junior, Challenge Kids and Challenge Women.”
