Cervélo TestTeam’s pre-selected Tour de France riders have gathered to prepare for the Team Time Trial that takes place during this year’s Tour de France. With several strong time trial riders on the team, the objective of the exercise was to test the new Cervélo P4 Time Trial bikes and to work with the mechanics and race engineer to ensure that all riders had the right fit and correct position.
“We are very confident and quite pleased with the Team’s performance,” said Sport Director Alex Sans Vega. “The TTT is one of the important stages for the GC at the Tour de France and to reach our goal of a top place finish in the overall ranking, this stage could play a key role. Despite the bad weather today we accomplished what we set out to do – try different start orders and different positions.”
The Team worked at the Buochs Airport near their home base in Switzerland. They are aiming to take full advantage of the 39km fourth stage team time trial in Montpellier on 7 July.
A strong performance from the new Cervélo P4 Time Trial bike at this year’s Tour could further propel the popularity of the P Series bike amongst bike aficionados and triathletes alike.
