Get away with Orbea Travel

Orbea’s new business proposition is pitched at cyclists who want to experience something different. Tapping into cyclists’ dreams of travelling to other cultures and continents, the Spanish bike company is trying to make dreams come true with a new push into travel and tourism.

Orbea originally started to offer trips for cycling consumers around 15 years ago with its Orbea Adventure and Club Orbea Travel. With a new push in 2011 and beyond, the new Orbea Travel initiative offers a non-competitive series of tours to different sporting activities worldwide.

Juan Carlos Nájera, who is responsible for Orbea Travel, leads an experienced team through the company’s new expansion into the travel business. Orbea Travel is currently presenting three offers for the end of this year and early next year.

  • The Wine and Fish route (Category: Road) 3-11 September 2011
  • Occam MTB Sahara Experience (Category: MTB) 3-11 December, 2011 & 5-13 February 2012
  • VII Trans Atacama Bike (Category: MTB) 12-23 November 2011

The common denominator for all trips is a thorough knowledge of the area, detailed planning of the entire route and accommodation and food adapted to the sport of cycling. Orbea will also coordinate all necessary technical assistance and post-route massage. Furthermore, the trip is open to travelling companions. So, family and friends are welcome, and can make the trip via the organisation’s support vehicles. All this, according to Orbea, provides a complete cultural and sporting experience.
