Syncro Swing Lenses, developed by the rh+ Powerlogic Lab, is an original technical lens system built into the brand’s new Olympo AirX glasses, which also feature advanced technology adapted from rh+ Olympo glasses.
Designed with the help of pro riders, rh+ adds that its original Olympo glasses offer maximum performance with ‘increased ventilation, wearability and resistance’, as the glasses feature a Multi-Fit Bridge Nose and Sport Grip Extensible Temples.

According to rh+, the Syncro Swing Lenses system is a world-first in terms of sports-glasses technology. This innovative solution allows cyclists to raise both lenses at the same time with one hand. This means riders can choose whether to protect themselves from the sun or the wind, or to increase ventilation, which is particularly useful when conditions change suddenly.
‘During any outdoor activity at any time of the year, there can be many external variables that need to be dealt with quickly. This is particularly true when safety or performance are affected. For example, high temperatures and intense exertion increase perspiration and can cause lenses to fog, while sudden changes in light do not leave the eye enough time to adapt (even the best light-sensitive lenses take tens of seconds to adapt).’
Cyclists might also have to deal with a combination of high speeds and rain on the lenses, which can decrease visibility significantly even in light rain, or lenses that steam up at slow speeds, such as when riding uphill.
rh+ adds that riders need to react to these situations within seconds, which is ‘the time it can take for glasses to become genuinely uncomfortable and a real hazard… This may result in the rider becoming dangerously distracted as they try to take them off.’
The new Syncro Swing Lenses system allows the wearer to raise both lenses at the same time. Cyclists can adjust the glasses in a fraction of a second, reacting to changes in visibility, protection and ventilation without taking the glasses off.
The Olympo AirX sunglasses also have an improved Multi-Fit Bridge Nose (the evolution of the company’s Triple Fit System). This makes it possible to loosen and tighten the hypoallergenic silicon pads that rest on the bridge of the nose, adapting the glasses to the shape of the rider’s face. Equally, cyclists can adjust the distance between glasses and face, providing protection from the wind (i.e. when riding downhill or in cold weather), or to increase ventilation (for riding uphill or in hot conditions).
