Taking place this weekend, 6-7 August, the GE triVIEWER is live at the biggest race of the year. The 2011 Dextro Energy ITU World Championship Series descends on Hyde Park as the much anticipated warm up race to next year’s London 2012 Olympic triathlon.
An army of 4,420 age group triathletes will also be racing this weekend and the GE triVIEWER will be on hand to capture all the action. triVIEWER is the new and free online tool that enables triathletes to visualise their races and compare their performances against the field, friends… or even opponents!
This latest branded offering from GE, which is fully integrated into the Tri247.com events and results database, enables participants and their friends/family to re-live races post event. At Hyde Park, age groupers will also be able to view the action as it happens!
In addition to the usual features, the GE triVIEWER is enhanced at Hyde Park:
- Find a friend taking part and keep an eye on their status
- Watch results on the fly all weekend
- Comment on the race and/or an athlete’s performance via Facebook
- Monitor and comment via dedicated Twitter feed #triviewer and #wcslondon
- Constantly updated race photos throughout the race!
The GE triVIEWER brings race results to life in a graphical form, with an animated map of all the action. All participants and their friends/family can also sit back after race day to watch a personalised post-race animation of their race.
Age groupers can compare their race to that of friends, or rivals. Race results can also be compared to the race winner or celebrities taking part over the weekend, with a full post-race analysis available via additional graphs and charts.
GE’s triVIEWER first went into action at the GE Blenheim Triathlon, and competitors were able to watch their races evolve and compare their performance against competitors from other waves, the elite wave and even high profile triathletes such as Jenson Button or his girlfriend Jessica Michibata.
GE is a main sponsor of the Dextro Energy Triathlon ITU World Championship London 2011. It is a worldwide Olympic Partner, Elite Partner of the GB Triathlon Team and sponsor of many of the UK’s leading triathlons, including the British Triathlon Super Series events.
