The IRONMAN Wales show on Saturday morning UK time will inadvertently be a starter for those watching the IRONMAN World Championship. With live coverage on ironman.com, the World IRONMAN Championship in Kona, Hawaii, kicks off on Saturday 8 October at approximately 06:25 HST (09:25 PT and 12:25 ET). For UK viewers logging in to ironman.com, this will be around 16:25 GMT.
Then, having gorged on a day’s TV viewing on Saturday, UK triathlon fans have a further dish to tuck into when the Stoke on Trent European City of Sport Triathlon 2016 airs on Channel 4 on Sunday 9 October. This will be screened at 06:45 GMT and on Ch4+1 at 07:45.

Screening on Channel for on Saturday 8 October at 07:05 and at 08.05 on Ch4+1, IRONMAN Wales takes place amidst the castles and stunning landscapes of Pembrokeshire on the South Wales coast. After a 2.4 mile sea swim in the historic setting of Tenby, a challenging 112 mile bike ride takes in some big climbs before athletes face the 26.2 mile run to the finish.
Stoke on Trent European City of Sport Triathlon 2016
Screening on Sunday 9 October at 06:45 and on Ch4+1 at 07:45 this event celebrates Stoke on Trent’s position as the European City of Sport 2016. The triathlon takes place in the historic setting of Trentham Gardens. With elite, age group and children’s races, this is billed as an event for all.
