There are now a limited number of discount entries for the 2018 Challenge Lisboa event in Lisbon, Portugal, which takes place in May 2018. The 10% discount offer was unveiled in August, as part of a sponsor partnership between the Challenge Lisboa event team and Rocktape. The 10% discount off the event entry fee is available to the first 100 UK athletes who register online. The organising team note that there are now less than 50 discounted race slots available.

Challenge Lisboa takes place on 19 May 2018. To take advantage of the 10% discount offer, athletes can enter the code ‘RockTape_ChLisboa’ when registering at challenge-lisboa.com. This is only valid for the first 100 entrants.

Challenge Lisboa race organiser Paulo Leite said, “We’ve decided to shake things up a bit for next year’s middle distance race at Challenge Lisboa (19 May 2018). It will start at 4pm [CET] and will end in true Challenge Family style, with a party atmosphere at the finish line. The race itself will take place on closed roads on a mostly flat course, which is perfect for athletes chasing personal bests.

“Most importantly, we aim to be a race for everyone. There are a number of side events including The Family Relay, Battle of The Sexes, Corporate World Cup and The College Cup.”

Held at Parque das Nações – a natural harbour just 3km from Lisbon’s international airport – Challenge Lisboa is served by extensive public transportation, subway, buses, taxis, making it ‘one of the most accessible races in the Challenge Family series’.

The course itself features an ‘idyllic swim venue, a closed road bike course and a run course alongside the famous Tagu river that’s effortlessly flat’. The organising team add that Challenge Lisboa may well be the perfect race for any age-groupers looking to achieve a new PB; and with an average air temperature of 27°C and water temperature at around 19°C, the warm conditions make it not only competitor, but also spectator-friendly.
