In a TV highlights show, presented by Katharine Merry and Kevin Harris, the Plusnet Yorkshire Marathon – York is airing on Channel 4 this Saturday 14 October at 06:15 GMT. The show continues Channel 4’s commitment to endurance sport programming, as part of its long-standing partnership with sports TV production firm Dream Team television. The Plusnet Yorkshire Marathon TV show will air again on Ch4+1 at 07:15, and will be available via online catch-up on the channel’s All 4 platform.
As part of the Yorkshire marathon series, the 2017 Plusnet Yorkshire Marathon – York took place on Sunday 8 October – returning to the historic walled city of York, attracting elite runners and celebrities to its flat and fast course. This festival of running now attracts 10,000 competitors, amongst them former England Rugby League Captain and Leeds Rhino, Kevin Sinfield, as well as TV Celebrity Harry Gration and wheelchair racers Jade Jones, Calum Hall and Lynda Gent. The documentary also follows Jean Snelling, at 81 the oldest competitor in the event.
