fi’zi:k’s new shoe, Terra X5 offers up ‘improved comfort, performance and protection for every rider on any terrain from trails and singletrack to forest road.’
fi’zi:k adds that the new Terra X5 is adaptive; its Volume Control means improved fit through an asymmetric opening and the Boa L6 Dial B dial running steel-coated nylon laces through light, durable ‘Slipstream’ plastic guides. fi’zi:k combines the dial fastening with a single 25mm wide microfibre strap with Velcro fastener. The company adds that the result is a light, easy to use and micro-adjustable closure system, providing precision fit for any foot shape.
Terra X5 features
- Terra X5 has tough, protective yet breathable 1.4mm Perforated Microtex upper sides, which work along with the inner mesh to offer temperature regulation on the trails, for enhanced comfort and performance.
- Generous PU bonded heel and toe sections join with PU lower instep and outstep sections to provide a shield from trail hazards while the tongue section offers subtle dorsal impact protection.
- X5’s combination of laser-perforated Microtex and rubber coating helps to ensure comfort, ventilation, and fit – ‘yet remains tough enough for any riding conditions’.
‘Riders can attack trails with confidence thanks to the all-terrain grip provided by pronounced treads, creating a sturdy support for riders preferring clipless pedals with a small platform. The carbon composite sole is light, tough and strong for efficient power transfer and benefit the rider with increased sole protection.’
A light, tough woven tape heel loop attaches to backpacks to carry, store and allow the Terra X5 to dry.
Along with fi’zi:k’s biggest range of colours, a new suede option ‘offers advanced resistance to cuts and abrasions, extra breathability and enhanced comfort thanks to a more pliant upper’.
Terra X5 is available in five colourways, including three Microtex options: Black/Black, Black/Red, Gray/Yellow Fluo; and the two suede options: Suede Military Green/Orange Fluo and Suede Blue/Black.
