CSG seeks Schwinn Marketing Manager

Dorel Industries division, Cycling Sports Group (CSG), is seeking a Marketing Manager to join the Schwinn team in Bethel, Connecticut.

The position oversees all marketing efforts for the Schwinn brand. Thus, the candidate shall collaborate in the development of and oversee all marketing initiatives for the Schwinn brand and promote Schwinn products to obtain maximum exposure while maintaining brand strategy.

The Schwinn Marketing Manager works closely with the EVP, Director of Marketing IBD, marketing managers, sales, and product managers and the Schwinn product development team to adhere to budget guidelines and deliver on corporate marketing objectives.

Working with the PR Manager, marketing staff and through his or her own efforts the Manager places product and product information into endemic and non-endemic publications – and helps coordinate Interbike and other trade show efforts. The Schwinn Marketing Manager holds primary responsibility for Schwinn trade show marketing, attends trade show events and other events determined to be beneficial to Schwinn product promotion.

There are a range of other job responsibilities:

• Assist in the coordination of photography of all new Schwinn products and work closely with graphics to develop marketing materials.

• Meet with the Schwinn Product Development Team on a regular basis for updates on product plans, and promotion strategy.

• Partner with sales to provide product promotion support, collateral materials and correspondence to all retailers and international distributors regarding Schwinn brand initiatives.

• Work with the PR and Advocacy Manager to build the public relations strategy for Schwinn products and marketing initiatives.

• Serve as a resource to others in marketing in the resolution of complex problems and questions. Provide ideas as needed and requested.

• Provide US bike reviews, advertisements, ad schedules, promotion materials and editorials for Schwinn to international marketing and assist with international marketing as needed.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or a related field and at least 5 years prior experience in product marketing to include advertising, direct mail, photography and PR or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
