The Standard Bank IRONMAN 70.3 South Africa event is located in East London (Buffalo City), a gateway to the popular Eastern Cape tourist routes, the Sunshine Coast and Wild Coast of South Africa. The area offers miles of beachfront and rich cultural history for tourists to enjoy. Visitors can check out the 200,000 fossilized footprints of man found in Nahoon’s Bat Cave or the world’s only dodo egg at the East London Museum.
IRONMAN 70.3 Dubai takes place right next to the iconic Burj AlArab, the stunning seven-star hotel that has hosted celebrities from all over the world. As IRONMAN notes, ‘it’s an exotic race in a desert paradise’. Modern Dubai has more than 70 shopping centres, including the world’s largest, Dubai Mall. The city also boasts ultramodern architecture and lively nightlife.
