The new Competition11 collection from EKOÏ is for spring-summer 2018 and offers up a colourful line of cycling clothing, with the apparel and accessories specialist boasting ‘a quality-price ratio among the best on the market.’
EKOÏ notes that each fabric detail has been designed for a better protection, better comfort or for a longer life of the product itself. The range is 100% Made in Italy and is available in 14 different colours. Abbreviated as Comp11 the range includes a short-sleeved jersey and accompanying bib-shorts.
‘The jersey is made in four different and complementary fabrics for the best achievement of two specific objectives: to capture sweat at the chest level and to evacuate it very quickly.’ A ‘second skin’ effect is provided by the absence of seams at the sleeves. The fabric at the sides is ‘microperforated and super-elastic.’
The bib-shorts are in 250g Lycra with 20% of elastane, with 7.5cm SLIM elastic bands with silicone for holding to the rider when pedalling. The elastic shoulder straps are soft and microperforated for better comfort.
EKOÏ added that it wanted to give more space to the customization of Competition11, offering two different pads in the bib shorts: PRO TEAM, for 2 to 3 hours rides, and GEL INJECTION, for longer rides or for more sensitive rider. The latter is a new project based on medical gel (an EKOÏ exclusive offering) with a double density insert with shape memory and a carbon yarn lining for the evacuation of moisture and for the transpiration of the skin in contact with the pad.
Priced at €169.00/£174.55 (jersey + bib-short), the new Competition11 apparel is available in sizes from S to XXXL and is sold online only on the EKOÏ website.
