TOUGHMAN Enterprises, the company behind the TOUGHMAN brand of half-iron distance triathlons in North and South America, has confirmed sponsorship extensions with two previous partner companies – Captain Lawrence Brewing Company and Finger Lakes School of Massage – to support the TOUGHMAN NY Championship that takes place on September 16th in New York.
Captain Lawrence Brewing Company returns as the official beer partner for the TOUGHMAN NY Championship. This marks the 10th year that Captain Lawrence Brewing Company will provide the Beer Garden as part of the championship event’s post-race celebration.
For a number of years, a full BBQ and beer post-race party has been a standard for the TOUGHMAN NY Championship. According to TOUGHMAN founder Richard Izzo, “With beers named ‘Effortless Session IPA’, ‘Freschester Pale Ale’ and ‘Liquid Gold Belgo American Ale’ – Captain Lawrence Brewing Company is a great fit for TOUGHMAN.”
Finger Lakes School of Massage will once again be the official post-race recovery sponsor for the TOUGHMAN NY Championship. This marks the 9th year that the Finger Lakes School of Massage will provide post-race recovery as part of the race medical team. Athletes racing the TOUGHMAN NY Championship this Septemberwill be treated to free post-race massage by a team of over 40 massage therapists after being escorted through the finish line area by the event’s finish line staff.
“Making every aspect of the athletes’ race experience special is what we strive to do,” Richard Izzo, of TOUGHMAN added.
Qualifiers from all 11 TOUGHMAN locations will compete for a cash purse at the TOUGHMAN Championship in NY; while age group athletes that compete in the Open division will be racing for over US$30,000 worth of awards. The event will include personalized bibs and rack space, post-race DJ, massage, Beer Garden and full BBQ for all athletes. VIP slots are also available for athletes and their families.
