Around 1000 children from all over Poland will take part in a Kids Run for UNICEF this June. The Kids Run will be part of the Enea IRONMAN 5150 Warsaw triathlon in Poland’s capital, held on June 9-10, 2018.

A release from the Enea IRONMAN 5150 Warsaw team cites: 200 million hours; 8.3 million days; 22,800 years. This is the total time that every day millions of children devote to a daily trip to seek water.

On June 9th the Kids Run will draw children from all over Poland – PLN 10 donated from each entry fee towards UNICEF. The money fundraised as part of the run will be allocated for the purchase and installation of water pumps in those regions of Africa where access to clean drinking water is difficult. Everyone can participate in the campaign – by making a donation, buying products bearing the UNICEF logo or simply taking part in competitions.

“We organize many additional attractions at every sporting event, including competitions for children,” said Michał Drelich, Managing Director of Sport Evolution – the company behind the organisation of Enea IRONMAN 5150 Warsaw. “The Kids Run, which will take place as an event accompanying Enea IRONMAN 5150 Warsaw this year is not only an opportunity to promote activity among children and young people, but also a chance to help those in need. In this year’s edition, the youngest will run for children from Africa.”
