Designed to provide the ultimate Ironman experience to the world’s top business leaders, in just one year the Ironman XC Executive Challenge has become both a popular, and competitive, venue for top level executives to participate in an Ironman race and to compete for a slot at the Ford Ironman World Championship.
In 2009 48 business leaders from around the world competed in six Ironman XC Executive Challenge events, with 11 of those athletes qualifying to compete in Kona. This year David Mullaney captured the title of Ironman XC Series Athlete of the Year.
In 2010 there will be 10 series events and over 100 top level executives are expected to compete.
The 2010 schedule includes:
• Ironman 70.3 California (27 March 2010)
• Ochsner Ironman 70.3 New Orleans (18 April 2010)
• Ironman Brazil Triathlon Florianopolis (30 May 2010)
