110% add tri legends Roch Frey and Heather Fuhr to its team

110%, an innovative line of compression + ice gear, has announced a strategic partnership with elite triathlon coach, Roch Frey and professional triathlete & ultra-distance runner, Heather Fuhr. A former professional triathlete from Canada, Roch Frey, has been a professional triathlon coach since 1993 and is best known for his world- renowned coaching company, Multisports.com.

Multisports.com produces race-specific coaching camps all over world and provides personal and online training programs for athletes. Roch and his business partner Paul Huddle also produce races, author training books and host their own radio show. Frey’s knowledge, experience and respect in the industry has earned him success and notoriety and positioned him as a major influencer in the sport of triathlon.

Heather Fuhr, also a native Canadian, and Frey’s wife, proved her dominance in triathlon with two major milestones: first, her 15 Ironman Championships that place her second on the all-time win list behind Paula Newby-Fraser with 24 wins; second, her 2:51 marathon split en route to winning the 1998 Ironman Switzerland which was the second fastest ever – only Erin Baker has run faster.

As one of the best runners in triathlon history, Heather is now an ultra-distance runner and is already shattering course records.

As key brand ambassadors, Frey and Fuhr will support the 110% team by contributing to product development, educational content, marketing campaigns, cross-promotion of 110% into Multisports.com and most important, sharing their invaluable experience with the emerging compression + ice company.

“We’re excited to welcome Roch and Heather to the 110% family. I have known Roch since I started reading and laughing at his ‘Dear Coach’ column in Triathlete Magazine. He has personally coached me through 13 Ironman events beginning in 2003 and most recently, a sub 10-hour finish at Ironman Florida in 2009,” said David Green, CEO of 110%.

“I admire Roch and Heather tremendously and couldn’t think of more perfect ambassadors for us.”

Frey and Fuhr will represent 110% at the upcoming Ironman World Championships in Kona, Hawaii. While they won’t be racing the full Ironman event, they will be at the notoriously entertaining ‘Underpants Run’ that Frey and his business partner, Huddle, host annually.

Frey and Fuhr will also be at the 110% booth, located at Uncle Billy’s, at 11:00 am Tuesday to Thursday, where they will field questions and offer tips and advice for training and recovery.
