The IRONMAN TriClub program began in 2012 as a strictly North America-based venture. It is now a global initiative that has grown into a community of more than 5,000 clubs and teams.
The free program offers benefits and prizes to members. These include a TriClub Village at designated events; chances for priority entry to popular events; joining social communities, and the opportunity to compete for a coveted IRONMAN Global TriClub title.

Clubs are divided into five divisions according to the number of active members racing IRONMAN, IRONMAN 70.3, and 5150 races.
• Division I: Over 200 athletes and/or nationally recognized clubs
• Division II: 126 – 199 athletes
• Division III: 76 – 125 athletes
• Division IV: 26 – 75 athletes
• Division V: Under 25 athletes
Using the Age Group Ranking Points system (AGR), the total available points for a full-distance IRONMAN is 5,000 points. An IRONMAN 70.3 offers 3,500 points, and the 5150 races offer 1000 points.
AGR points are calculated based on the athlete’s race finish time behind the first finisher in his/her age group. Points continue to drop as the race time increases until the points reach a ‘point floor’, at which point they don’t drop any further and every athlete after this will receive the value of the point floor.
IRONMAN notes that it is no easy task to become an IRONMAN Global TriClub Champion, but five clubs rose to the occasion in 2018 and completed the challenge.
