British Cycling, the national governing body for cycling in the UK, is seeking a Corporate Communications Manager. The organisation is looking for an experienced corporate communications professional with a strong background in media relations, sponsor PR and message development, and a proven record of delivering effective outputs across the full communications mix.
The successful applicant will need strong writing skills, the ability to engage with a wide range of stakeholders and confidence in dealing with the media, both proactively and reactively. Ideally the candidate will have knowledge of, and a passion for, cycling.
This is a senior role within the Central Communications Team with specific responsibility for leading on the planning and execution of core corporate communication outputs. It is a role with a heavy media, sponsor and stakeholder communications element, but with the flexibility and scope to cover a wide range of other activities.
The post-holder will manage one member of staff and work closely with the Head of Communications and other managers within the British Cycling team to drive forward and deliver effective strategies, plans and operations.
