The Richmond RUNFEST team has announced that Children with Cancer UK is its new Charity of the Year for 2020.
Over 150 runners will be taking on the Kew Gardens 10k, the Richmond Half & Richmond Marathon for Children with Cancer UK on 12th & 13th September. Money raised will go directly into funding research to improve survival rates of children with cancer and raise awareness to inspire others to help.
Jade Bedford, Head of Charities at RUNFEST said “Children with Cancer UK have been a part of this event since 2015 and it’s been a joy to work with such a dedicated children’s charity and see their fundraising grow significantly each year.
“Now as headline charity we have a real opportunity to hit new targets and encourage more participants to support this wonderful cause.”
Children with Cancer UK Acting CEO Mark Brider said “We are delighted to be supporting Richmond RUNFEST as Charity of the Year 2020. Through this partnership, we hope to inspire even more supporters to pick up their running shoes and take on sporting events across the country in aid of Children with Cancer UK.

Each charity runner will get frequent training and fundraising tips as well as two training days with the RUNFEST team and a VIP party for their family and friends at the post-race music festival.
