ONE PRO Sports Events – the newly launched event operator focused on delivering and consulting on events for corporates, individuals and charities – has unveiled its plans to expand THE 21 in 2020.
Taking place this summer between 26th June and 18th July, THE 21 is a cycling event that provides amateur riders with an opportunity to take part in the toughest cycling route in the world, the Tour de France.
The full route of THE 21 is split into three-day blocks and will be ridden by a combination of corporate groups and individuals, as well as full time riders taking on the entirety of the gruelling challenge, one day ahead of the professionals.
2020 is the 107th edition of the Tour de France. This year’s route includes 29 categorised climbs, six mountain finishes, gravel roads and a return to the steep ascent of Planche des Belle Filles on the penultimate day.
The opportunity to take part in ‘one of the world’s great sporting challenges’ will be delivered by the team at ONE PRO Sports Events.
In 2019 over 70 individuals took part in the first 21 event which raised over £300,000 for charity. One of those riders was former England Cricketer and ONE PRO’s Director, Matt Prior. “This was by far one of the best experiences of my sporting life,” Prior said. “An immense challenge that would simply not be possible without a great group of people around you.
“The level of service is second to none and to be able to support some incredible charities along the way makes for a truly memorable experience. If you haven’t set your 2020 challenge as yet, then I can’t recommend this enough.”
THE 21 has a limited number of places available to individuals and corporate groups.
