In an effort to recognize those individuals who best fuelled the multisport lifestyle during the 2011 season, USA Triathlon (USAT) has announced the debut of the USA Triathlon Multisport Awards.
All multisport supporters are encouraged to nominate friends, family and fellow competitors for these prestigious national honours. Nominations are being accepted through to 15 December in the following six award categories:
- Volunteer of the Year Award
- Jeff Jewell Spirit Award
- Military Sport Award
- Most Inspirational Comeback Award
- Spirit of Multisport Award
- Lifetime Achievement Award

Once the nomination period closes, USA Triathlon’s Age Group Awards Subcommittee will review all nominations and select the winners and honourable mentions for each Multisport Award. Award winners will be announced in USA Triathlon’s Multisport Zone e-newsletter on 7 February 2012.
