Following consultation with relevant local authorities in Saudi Arabia, ‘Super League Triathlon NEOM 2020: The Opener’ has been postponed. This is due to the ongoing global issues surrounding coronavirus.
NEOM is a region in northwest Saudi Arabia on the Red Sea. The new season opening event was originally scheduled to take place on 27-28 March.
A release from Super League noted… ‘The decision has been taken to protect the safety of athletes and staff and to ensure that a successful event can still be held.
‘The event will be rearranged with a new date towards the end of the year, to be confirmed shortly.’
