Specialist multisport apparel firm HUUB has come up with a way of doing its bit to support key workers in the UK’s National Health Service (NHS). As a way of underlying the stay-at-home mandate during the Covid-19 pandemic, HUUB has created three concept cycling jerseys with ‘Better In Than Out’ messaging.
HUUB has asked its customers via e-mail and on social media to choose their preferred jersey. The most popular will then be produced for sale – with all profits going to NHS Charities Together, which supports NHS staff, volunteers and patients. Athletes are encouraged to wear the jerseys when training indoors, and worn proudly outside when the current crisis has abated.

Here at HUUB, we want to do our bit! We are still trading, and it’s not easy, but let us be realistic, there are some out there risking themselves to serve the sick and with no respite coming for quite some time. They are the ones who ‘just get on with it’, and we wanted to do something, not for profit or glory, but just do something!
We looked at our resources and strengths and figured while it is a good thing to give a discount to NHS workers, the emergency services, retail, and many more supporting the vital framework of Great Britain, we figured a neoprene suit isn’t going to be on the top of their list.
We understand that what is needed are donations… So, we thought about the message that really needs to be cemented – stay in, train sensibly, only do the essential shopping, look after others, and only go out for exercise and essential work.
We created a cycling jersey promoting ‘In’ and ‘Better In Than Out’, which was developed quickly by our own in house custom team with a two-week delivery timetable (yes, we know that’s not normal, but we are living in a very non-normal time)!
All profits to NHS Charities Together, that acknowledges and supports NHS staff, volunteers and patients impacted by COVID-19. We would love to give all monies to the great cause, but as a business also fighting to stay alive we can’t do that, but we don’t expect to make a penny out of this.
It’s not for us; it’s for them. ‘In’ for now, and when this is all over, and you’re ‘out’, it will act as a reminder of sacrifice for all to see.
