Event management platform Blerter has partnered with VolunteerLocal to ‘help events streamline their operations and manage volunteers more effectively.’
A release from Blerter noted that ‘With the launch of a new integration, those that run and manage events will be able to more easily leverage their existing base of volunteers, improve crew communications and keep everyone safe.’
The integration is now available for all Blerter and VolunteerLocal customers.
‘The integration delivers an easy-to-use volunteer management interface that helps with volunteer recruitment and scheduling, pre-event and on the day of the event. Blerter adds a number of new capabilities beyond volunteer management, including in-app communications, incident management and hazard tracking. Additionally, VolunteerLocal’s database will provide a tracking system for event planners to effectively leverage their most loyal volunteers for future events.’
“Events can be incredibly rewarding,” explained Blerter’s Head of Sales, Anthony Vernon. But there is a fine line between getting it right and wrong. Events provide opportunities to curate wonderful experiences and as events professionals, we are obligated to create an environment to make this happen.
“But this is no easy task, we’ve found that most events still use radios, paper forms or text messages to communicate and deliver the event. These systems have inherent flaws and create disconnected teams and disorganised communication.
“Information often goes missing, they lack context, people can be sent to the wrong locations to deal with issues and some teams like volunteers, often, have no direct line of communication at all.”
Kaylee Williams, President at VolunteerLocal said “Our tagline is ‘Happy Volunteering!’ because we value the volunteer’s experience with our software, too. This means that when volunteers register online, it’s a single-step process. By keeping our customers’ volunteers happy, we help them retain those volunteers year-over-year.”
She continued, “VolunteerLocal can generate robust reports showcasing total volunteer hours (by individual or group), based on the shift-times or the actual check-in/out time stamps. Our customers have the data (and tools) they need to track, acknowledge and celebrate each volunteer for his or her unique contribution.”
