The town of Fayetteville, Arkansas, will host the 2021 Spartan Trail US Championship – seen as the foundation of a long-term vision Spartan has for the expansion of its trail running business. Four race distances in total, with two championship distances will split a prize purse of over US$12,000.
Distances for all ability levels are open, starting with a 10k Night Run on the sunset of Saturday, October 30 to begin the experience, and the main distances in the morning of Sunday, October 31. Runners can choose to sign up for a 10k, a Half Marathon (Trail Run Championship) and 50k (Trail Ultra Championship).
Nestled in the Boston Mountain range of the Ozarks, Fayetteville is a destination for outdoor lovers. The 620 acres Kessler Mountain Regional Park offers a variety of mixed trails, from fast to technical.

Fayetteville’s Historic Downtown Square and Gardens will be the epicenter of the race, being the finish line of all distances and providing an area for athletes and spectators.

Fayetteville will be a destination for the wider trail running community as the race is also partnering with the US Trail Running Conference. This is being hosted at the Fayetteville Town Center in the same week.
The conference is a resource for the trail running community, providing content, networking and best practice to help race directors grow and develop successful trail races.
