Scheduled for a return to Reading FC’s Madejski Stadium, on Sunday November 7, the Reading Half Marathon in South East England is offering 75 exclusive Purdue Performance training programmes and VIP race experiences.
Race organiser, Goldline Events has partnered with Charlotte Purdue, GB’s marathon and half marathon champion, and a former Reading winner. The athlete and her team of coaches are offering 75 exclusive Purdue Performance training programmes and VIP race experiences.
The 10-week interactive training programme has:
- Three target groups (sub 2 hours / sub 1.45 / 1.30-1.15)
- Digital training diary
- Home workouts and recovery masterclasses
- Zooms with Charlotte and her team
Race day VIP bag drop, exclusive t-shirt, post-race refreshments with Charlotte and her team and a free race massage and photograph.
There are 25 plans available per target time. The 10-week interactive training programme and VIP race experience costs £150 (places close on August 15th, 2021). Runners will need access to a Facebook account in order to access all benefits.
The VIP coaching package does not include race entry – so, participating runners will also need to sign up for the half marathon.
Judith Manson, Race Director, said “There is no community quite like the running community. We cannot wait to be back together on race weekend this November – to not only celebrate our strength in overcoming one of the most challenging and unsettling times we’ve faced, but the incredible effort of our runners to continue their training and charity fundraising through the pandemic.
“We want to thank all our runners and partners for their continued support and solidarity. Through the Purdue Performance training plans we know our runners will return stronger than ever.
“We are working tirelessly for our come-back race, in collaboration with partner agencies and stakeholders. Now is the time for Reading, and the rest of the UK, to light up with the magic of running, once again.”
