WFSGI welcomes new board members

The World Federation of the Sporting Goods Industry (WFSGI) has confirmed the election of three new board members. These were elected following a written ballot of the organisation’s members.

The three newcomers joining the WFSGI Board of Directors bolster the cycling industry and the manufacturer’s representation on the global sporting goods federation board. According to WFSGI… ‘Their input will shape the WFSGI’s activities as they seek to help the industry capitalize on the bike boom and work in partnership to address current supply chain and manufacturing issues.’

New board members

  • Ton Anbeek, CEO of Accell Group
  • Tony Grimaldi, CEO of Cycleurope and President of Cycling Industries Europe (CIE)
  • Ivan Lee, Vice President Supply Chain Management at APACHE Footwear, replacing Simon Cheng, Vice President, APACHE Footwear

The World Federation of the Sporting Goods Industry (WFSGI) was founded in 1978 and is the world authoritative body for the sports industry officially recognized by the IOC as the industry representative within the Olympic Family. The WFSGI is an independent, non-profit and non-governmental association formed by sports brands, manufacturers, suppliers, retailers, national federations and other sporting goods industry related businesses.
