With the indoor cycling season getting into full swing, RBC GranFondo Whistler in Canada has created an online experience with virtual cycling platform ROUVY.
There will be four virtual races and a virtual challenge taking place between October 30 and November 20, 2021. The aim is to give cycling enthusiasts around the globe the chance to discover four destinations in British Columbia, Canada, via ROUVY.
The ‘RBC GranFondo Whistler x ROUVY’ will take place on four new virtual courses. These have been recorded in HD video, taking in sections of RBC GranFondo Whistler’s Sea to Sky highway route.
- RBC GranFondo Whistler | Stanley Park | Race 1 – October 30th
- RBC GranFondo Whistler | Howe Sound | Race 2 – November 6th (CET).
- RBC GranFondo Whistler | Sea to Sky | Race 3 – November 13th
- RBC GranFondo Whistler | Whistler | Race 4 – November 20th
Canadian pro cyclist Michael Woods, who rides for UCI WorldTeam Israel Start-Up Nation, will be participating in the RBC GranFondo Whistler x ROUVY series as an event ambassador. He will be racing in Race 1 – Stanley Park (2 laps) on October 30, 2021.

To celebrate the RBC GranFondo Whistler x ROUVY virtual series participants will be able to join a challenge that lasts between October 30 and November 20, 2021. The challenge will be to complete all four RBC GranFondo Whistler ROUVY courses (Stanley Park, Howe Sound, Sea to Sky and Whistler) between these dates.
The courses range between 8km and 23km. They can be ridden via an indoor trainer whether smart enabled or not.
Participants who complete the challenge will receive: a digital finishers badge; entry into a draw to win a fully paid travel, accommodation and events package into the 2022 RBC GranFondo Whistler; plus the ability to unlock the official event jersey in ROUVY.
