CEEPO is the first bike manufacturer to integrate Classified’s Powershift technology with long and short course triathlon racing bikes. Going forwards, CEEPO’s Shadow and Katana triathlon bikes will be equipped with Classified’s Powershift hub and wheelsets.
A release highlighting the tie-up between the two companies noted that… ‘Classified’s innovative two-speed wireless gearing system, integrated into the rear hub, makes it possible to instantaneously change from one gear to another, under full load and on any terrain.
‘Reliable and superfast, Classified’s technology replaces the classic front derailleur and is perfectly compatible with 11 and 12 speed rear derailleurs.
‘Classified fits well with CEEPO’s design ethos and obsession with aerodynamic & efficiency solutions through innovation and technology. Triathlon bike racing requires the upmost in aerodynamics and efficiency.
‘Triathlon racers often remove the front derailleur and use a single chainring to enhance aerodynamics, but at the expense of gear range. Classified has created a shifting system that allows for more aerodynamics to be achieved by eliminating the front derailleur and streamlining the surface area without sacrificing shifting efficiency or range. On the contrary, because you are always riding the big chainring, Classified increases efficiency compared to traditional 2X.’
