The first names have been confirmed for April’s Cycle Show & London eBike Festival, the UK’s largest and longest-running cycling exhibition. The Cycle Show & London eBike Festival is getting set to return on 22-24 April at Alexandra Palace in London, UK.
Stars of the men’s and women’s elite cycling scene from road, MTB and endurance cycling past and present will come together in London, including former road world champion Tom Boonen and current MTB world champions Greg Minaar and Evie Richards.
The growing list of names also includes Dan, Gee & Rachel Atherton, Sean Kelly, Martyn Ashton, Mark Beaumont and Paralympic champion Jaco van Gass.
Guests will be hosted on stage in the theatre at London’s Alexandra Palace to talk about all things cycling and their experiences over the years in front of a live audience.
This is the Cycle Show’s first unveiling of guest speakers for the 2022 event. It has launched with a bang as four time Paris-Roubaix winner and 2005 world road race champion Tom Boonen leads the line-up alongside MTB legend Greg Minnaar.
They will be joined by more mountain bike royalty in siblings Dan, Gee and Rachel Atherton as well as MTB cross-country champion Evie Richards and former British trials champion and YouTube star Martyn Ashton.
Triple world champion and double paralympic champion Jaco Van Gass will be on stage over the weekend as well as ultra cyclist and expedition specialist Mark Beaumont. All these names will be interviewed by presenters, including Matt Stephens and Laura Fletcher.
Brands on board for the 2022 show include Specialized, SRAM, Continental, Cannondale, Canyon, BMC, Vitus, Ridgeback, 3T, Tern, Haibike, Schwalbe, Riese & Muller, Bosch, Swift Carbon and Ribble.
The multi-hall layout at Alexandra Palace means the eBike audience has a dedicated show area within a show. The London eBike Festival also features its own Experts Stage with Shimano Steps covering a range of topics from commuting advice to bike maintenance and more.
Outside, Alexandra Palace’s hilly parkland offers an extensive testing area for all types of bike brands with a Demo Village located at the venue’s east entrance and a mountain bike/gravel loop running inside a 1.5km road/commuter circuit.
