UK-based charity Cure Leukaemia has announced a new partnership that will see Game Changer Performance (GCP) become its ‘Official Training and Performance Partner’.
Established in elite sport, GCP have been working in the area of human performance since 2016, combining talent, research and science to maximise human potential.
GCP’s multi-disciplinary team has experience working with elite athletes in their preparation for major events, for the Olympic Games, FIFA World Cups, the Premier League and Formula 1 World Championships.
In January GCP launched a brand-new coaching service – P3RFORM – to take its performance services to a wider audience.
‘Offering a human connection to digital fitness, the daily holistic offering focuses on lifestyle, movement, and each individual’s goals by connecting them with an expert coach who coaches them via the P3RFORM app.’
GCP has recently been putting the Tour 21 cyclists through their paces at a series of physical testing days to ensure they are in peak physical condition ahead of their charity challenge. The Tour 21 sees amateur cyclists take on all 21 stages of the Tour de France route one week ahead of the professional event this July.
Jake Keeling, Managing Director of GCP said “We followed the Tour 21 last year throughout the pandemic and were blown away with how the riders were able to take on such a challenge. The way also that the team at Cure Leukaemia organised the event was first class.
“Through our work with professional athletes and teams over the past five years at Game Changer Performance, we realised how much depended on coaches to keep athletes in great condition and performing at the highest levels. We’ve now made that quality of coaching accessible to everyone via P3RFORM.
“Our team are working with all the riders taking part in the Tour 21 this year. Plus we are providing individualised coaching support to a number of the riders looking for that additional support to ensure they take on the challenge in the best possible condition.
“As part of the partnership we are excited to offer this same level of support to anyone raising funds for Cure Leukaemia. Being able to help people prepare for their fundraising events whilst also supporting their fundraising efforts is awesome.”
Cure Leukaemia’s Head of Sponsorship Alex Smith said “The guidance, support and expertise that the P3RFROM app provided by Game Changer Performance will offer to our fundraisers will be invaluable, whether they are training for a marathon, London2Paris or even the Tour21 challenge.
“It will guarantee a better and more fulfilling experience that will hopefully ensure they continue to be physically active beyond ‘their’ event and continue to support Cure Leukaemia whilst they do so.”
As part of the partnership, all membership sign ups to P3RFORM via the Cure Leukaemia network, will see the charity receive a monthly £15.00 donation per member.
