A year after the cancellation of Canada Man / Woman 2020, the extreme triathlon returned for a fourth outing in 2021 to Megantic Lake, Quebec, Canada.
Produced by ICARUS Sports, a documentary celebrates the challenging event, which featured around 130 athletes, mostly coming from Canada, the United States and France.
For the first time ever, the 2021 event took place in October. Held on October 2, 2021, race conditions were different – and colder – than what is normally experienced when the race is held in July.
In the extreme triathlon, athletes are given until midnight to race all the way to the observatory and Mont Mégantic summit, meaning they’ll have completed a 224km distance course and 4000m in elevation gain.
