Following the withdrawal of Commerzbank as title sponsor of its eponymous triathlon team, the wheels got in motion last year to bring about a successor to the world-class team. The new team – 21run.com – now enters 2012 backed by European online retailer 21run.com and formed around Ironman triathlete Timo Bracht, according to a report by triathlon.de.
Much like its predecessor Commerzbank, the team’s focus is podium finishes in middle distance and long distance tri races. As announced back in October, the Head Coach and Sports Director of the new team will be the renowned coach, Ralf Ebli.
