The virtual edition of the Giro d’Italia – the the Giro d’Italia Virtual ENEL 2022 – has started its second block of virtual cycling stages, with racing under way from Monday November 28th on the BKOOL virtual cycling platform.
The entire virtual version of the Giro d’Italia on BKOOL runs from October 24th, 2022, continuing until May 2023. According to the organising team, the first block of stages brought together over 4,000 cyclists.
Registration to participate is free and riders can take advantage of a 30 day free trial available at bkool.com for new users. Those who register via the official event website (girovirtual.com) will get a 20% discount for life on a BKOOL subscription.
The virtual edition of the Giro d’Italia allows participants to ride on stages of the Corsa Rosa, recorded in HD throughout the last edition of the real-world race. The race simulation technology combines HD video with 3D elements, to generate an immersive experience.
The second block of stages includes:
- Stage 1: Salò – Aprica Part 1. 28th November – 4th December
- Stage 2: Verona TISSOT ITT 5th December – 11th December
- Stage 3: Borgo Valsugana – Treviso Part 1. 12th December – 18th December
- Stage 4: Passo Fedaia Part 1. 19th December – 25th December
