ROUVY is hosting an official recon ride of the 2023 DATEV Challenge Roth triathlon in celebration of its partnership with the race.
Taking place on May 28, 2023, at 19:30 CEST, the virtual recon on ROUVY will allow athletes to virtually test-ride the long distance triathlon’s bike course in advance of the race taking place in Germany on June 25th.
Participants in the virtual group ride will also be able to gain insight from the organisers and some of the top athletes who will be competing.
The virtual group ride and accompanying Google Meet video call will be led by Alex Siegmund, founder of INCYLENCE performance socks, an event announcer and age-group athlete.
Alex Siegmund said “My connection with Challenge Roth is very strong as I did my very first long-distance race there in 2018 followed by my second one in 2019.
“In 2021 and 2022 I was lucky enough to announce the event at the start and at the finish line, welcoming every finisher home and having a great time with the crowds. This year I will change sides again and I will compete and try to win my age-group category.
“It’s fair to say I know the race very well so I’m looking forward to sharing some of my insight with fellow athletes on the ROUVY recon.”
CEO of Challenge Roth, Felix Walchshöfer will also join the Google Meet, allowing riders the opportunity to hear about the race directly from the organiser.
Participants of the virtual group ride will be entered into a draw to win prizes including a free ROUVY subscription, a Racing Roth cycling jersey, INCYLENCE socks and some sports nutrition from PowerBar.
