TOUGHMAN New York 2023 will be offering 30 slots to the 2024 Challenge Roth triathlon. This is the first time an event in North America has offered qualifying slots to the iconic long course race in southern Germany.
Challenge Roth, the largest full-distance race in the world with 3,400 individual participants and 650 relay teams, is so popular that registration for the race routinely fills up in a matter of minutes. Set in the small Bavarian town of Roth, near Nuremberg, the race attracts a reported 260,000 spectators.
The 17th annual TOUGHMAN NY triathlon takes place on Sunday, September 17, 2023, at Lake Welch Beach in Stony Point, New York. The half-distance race features a 1.2-mile swim in Lake Welch, followed by a challenging 56-mile bike and 13.1-mile run through the scenic Harriman State Park.

There will be several ways to gain entry to Roth 2024 at the TOUGHMAN NY 2023:
- Age group winners (male and female) with a roll-down;
- Corporate slots; and
- A pre-race raffle to TOUGHMAN 2023 entrants.
