Life Time has unveiled the precursor to the Chicago Half Marathon & 5k presented by HOKA. Departing from a traditional race expo, an inaugural pre-race party is set to take place on Friday and Saturday, September 22-23, 2023, leading up to race day.
Registration for the Life Time Chicago Half Marathon presented by HOKA on Sunday, September 24 is now officially sold out. Registration is still open for the 5k and Kids Run Chicago.
‘Life Time invites runners, along with their family and friends, to partake in the pre-race celebrations as they transform Vertiport Chicago, Chicago’s state-of-the-art heliport, the largest in North America, into the exclusive venue for this innovative event.
‘With a sprawling 30,000-foot indoor-outdoor helicopter hangar, the atmosphere will be electric, featuring views of Chicago’s iconic skyline, live music and entertainment, food trucks, refreshing alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, photo opportunities, unique sponsor activations from leading running and outdoor brands, and more.’
Runners will have the opportunity to collect their race packets on Friday, between 13:00 and 19:00 CT, as well as on Saturday, from 10:00 to 17:00. During this period, runners and their friends and families will also be able to access the party where there will be running gear and accessories from brands for purchase in preparation for race day.
