Suzuki has been confirmed as the official motorcycle of the 2025 Giro d’Italia, which is scheduled to take place this year from May 9 to June 1.
The partnership between Suzuki and RCS Sports & Events will extend to all major international events organized by RCS Sports & Events. These include Strade Bianche, Strade Bianche Women, Tirreno-Adriatico, Milano-Torino, Milano-Sanremo, Sanremo Women, Il Giro d’Abruzzo, Giro Next Gen, Giro d’Italia Women, GranPiemonte, and Il Lombardia.
RCS Sports & Events has chosen Suzuki as its partner, following some parallels between the two organisations. In 1909, Michio Suzuki originally founded Suzuki Loom Works in Hamamatsu, Japan, to manufacture textile looms. In the same year, the first Giro d’Italia was launched as a cycling competition organized by La Gazzetta dello Sport.
Suzuki also has strong historical ties to bicycles. The Hamamatsu-based company began its journey in transportation with the Power Free, a motorized bicycle introduced in 1952.
