For time trials & triathlon, cycling equipment brand Ekoï has officially launched its latest aerodynamic helmet: the Ekoï Pure Aero.
According to the company, following a year of development and testing, the new helmet boasts a gain of 13 watts when riding at 50 km/h.
Used by many cyclists in the Tour de France and triathletes on the IRONMAN and T100 circuits, the Ekoï Pure Aero helmet has already helped to secure some stand-out performances in international competitions.
At the 2024 IRONMAN World Championship Patrick Lange secured his third world title in October 2024, wearing the Pure Aero, and set a new course record (7h35’53”). Meanwhile, Frenchman Sam Laidlow shattered his previous cycling segment record, improving his time by 7 minutes and 14 seconds.
At the IRONMAN 70.3 World Championship, in November 2024, Jelle Geens became world champion, earning Belgium its first-ever title. French athlete Léo Bergère, a sprint specialist, joined him on the podium in third place. Both athletes wore the Pure Aero on the bike.
Priced at €350, the Ekoï Pure Aero helmet is now available for amateur athletes.
