The first edition of the Everesting World Championship will take place on the slopes of Mount Etna in Sicily, Italy, on September 20-21, 2025.
Registration opens on May 10, 2025, with pre-registration currently open. The organisers are inviting cyclists to attempt a full Everesting challenge — 8,848m of climbing (the height of Mount Everest) — either solo or in teams of four, riding together on one of Europe’s most iconic volcanoes.
Alongside the Everesting competition, a festival atmosphere is planned with food, drink, music, and an exhibitor area.
The event will mark the first official Everesting World Championship, giving riders a chance to etch their names into the sport’s history via an event experience.
