The Life Time Sea Otter Classic has announced the launch of a new on-site recording space designed for podcast and studio-first video production for the 2026 event.
Located adjacent to the event and expo’s media centre, the dedicated hub is intended to allow media members, creators, and exhibitors to produce high-quality content from the cycling festival.
The recording space will be operational during the event’s open hours from April 16–19, 2026. Time slots are being allocated based on demand and prioritised on a first-come, first-served basis.
The 36th annual Life Time Sea Otter Classic takes place at the Laguna Seca Recreation Area in Monterey, CA. It is a four-day celebration featuring over 1,000 brands, 6,000 athletes, and approximately 70,000 attendees.
The organisers of the Sea Otter Classic noted that the initiative acknowledges a shift in the media landscape towards audio-first storytelling. The new space is designed to provide a controlled environment to capture the energy of the event while offering a professional setting for recordings.
Sarah Stutman, Marketing Director at Life Time Events, said “We are continuously looking at ways we can adapt the Life Time Sea Otter Classic to ensure our exhibitors, sponsors and members of the media and consumers get the most out of their attendance.
“By providing a dedicated recording space on-site, we are making it easier for creators to capture and deliver content to their audiences while staying close to the action.”
The new area will provide creators with access to WiFi and power outlets. While users are required to bring their own recording equipment, the space is designed to offer limited background noise to ensure high-quality audio. The hub will also be available for recording video voice-overs and ‘talking heads’ segments.
Reservations for the podcast booth opened to members of the media on February 23, 2026. Exhibitors and sponsors will be able to book time slots from March 9, 2026.
