Italian cycling brands Elastic Interface and Nimbl have announced a collaboration for the new Nimbl Ultimate Line. The partnership introduces a cycling apparel collection designed to offer riders a higher level of comfort and performance.
Elastic Interface is an ‘ingredient brand’ specialising in the development of advanced and sustainable padding solutions for cycling apparel. Active in more than 40 countries, the company is a brand of CyTech, a Benefit Corporation founded in 2001 in San Vendemiano, Italy. Nimbl is an Italian brand known for handcrafted cycling shoes.
The Elastic Interface cycling pad developed for the Nimbl Ultimate Line has been conceived to support riders throughout every phase of the pedal stroke. It aims to help cyclists maintain comfort, focus, and balance in the saddle.
At the heart of the project is Elastic Interface N3X technology. The 3D-printed insert makes it possible to control the material structure with precision, creating differentiated support areas and targeted protection. Every zone of the pad is designed to support where needed and relieve pressure in sensitive areas.
The design also integrates front perforations for ventilation, inspired by the visual language of Nimbl cycling shoes. This choice helps improve airflow in sensitive areas, supporting breathability, temperature regulation, and balance during intense efforts.
In contact with the skin, the black Eco Graphene fabric delivers a feeling of stability and freshness. According to both companies, the fabric helps regulate temperature, follows the body’s movement, and maintains a dry interface between rider and saddle on longer rides.
The padding structure is completed by a layer of reticulated open-cell foam, designed to ensure fast drying and breathability, and by D65 Bio Foam. The D65 Bio Foam is made with 65% plant-based polyols. The lightweight, elastic, and perforated material combines sustainability and performance to offer support without unnecessary bulk.
Elastic Interface points out that, behind the development of this cycling pad are years of anthropometric and ergonomic research, collaborations with universities and research centres, and field testing. The new Nimbl Ultimate Line is now available online.
