According to World Triathlon Corp (WTC), the Ford Ironman Cozumel event, scheduled for 28 November 2010, is nearly sold out for the second consecutive year. The 2010 event, with a 15% increase in participants compared to last year, is expected to close its registration on 20 August at the latest.
Cozumel is a beautiful and peaceful Island located in the Mexican Caribbean and is often referred to as ‘heaven on earth’. The 2009 event saw around 1,900 triathletes register to take part and, with a gain of 15%, should break the 2,200 participant barrier in 2010.
