Trek worldwide sales up 7.2%

At its October suppliers’ summit, Trek suppliers’ in Taichung, Taiwan, Trek CEO John Burke was bullish about company’s ability to weather the economic storm. “I can assure you that Trek has never been in a better financial position,” he said. Worldwide sales in the month of October rose 7.2% year on year.

Burke stated that 2008 is going to be record breaking year for Trek. The company has booked revenue of US$725 million up to the end of October. In 2000 Trek had an annual turnover of US$300 million.

“Trek is a solid company and has had solid growth and we are really optimistic about the future,” Burke added.
