The St Kitts and Nevis Triathlon Federation has lost the title sponsor for its premier annual event. After discussions between Carino Health Spa boss Jorn Eivic and Nevis Triathlon officials, a decision was made that at least for 2009 Carino will not be the event’s title sponsor. The reason given for the decision was the heath of Jorn Eivic.
Eivic stated that although Carino is unable to be the main sponsor in 2009, the company to remain on board as a supporter at a lower level.
“Carino served as the title sponsor for the past four years and its invaluable sponsorship has played an integral part in establishing the Nevis Triathlon as the premier Olympic distance race in the Caribbean,” said Winston Crooke, President of the St Kitts & Nevis Triathlon Federation. “We know that it was a tough decision for Carino and it was not easy for us at this stage of preparation either, but we understand life and know that such things do happen.”
The Nevis Triathlon will take place on 15 March 2009 and will likely continue to have the support of sponsors Pro Bike Kit (PBK) and Carib Breweries amongst others.
